This Privacy Policy explains how Farvix LLC ("we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit factcraftpress.com (the "Site") or buy our e-book (the "E-book"). We collect only what we need to sell and deliver the E-book and to run the Site.
1. Information we collect
When you buy the E-book
Checkout is handled by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects your name, email address, billing country or address, and payment card details. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us the order details we need: your name, email address, the amount paid, the date, and limited card information (such as the card brand and last four digits).
When you request the free sample
If you enter your email address to get the free sample chapters, we store your email address, the date you confirmed it and your subscription status. We only add you to our list after you click the confirmation link we send you (double opt-in).
When you email us
If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
When you browse the Site
Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and the date and time of the request, for security and to keep the Site running.
2. How we use your information
- To process your payment and deliver the E-book to your email address
- To send you the free sample you asked for and a short series of research-based emails about the topics in the book, including an offer for the full book
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support, including re-sending your file
- To prevent fraud, handle payment disputes and keep records required by tax and accounting laws
- To maintain the security and performance of the Site
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we only send marketing emails to people who have confirmed their subscription. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us.
3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (selling and delivering the E-book), to comply with legal obligations (such as tax records), and for our legitimate interests in securing the Site and preventing fraud.
4. Service providers we use
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe, Inc. | Payment processing and fraud prevention | Name, email, billing details, payment card data |
| Resend | Sending the E-book and our emails; storing our email list | Email address, name, subscription status |
| Netlify, Inc. | Website hosting | Technical log data such as IP address |
| Google Fonts (Google LLC) | Displaying the Site's fonts | IP address and browser information |
These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. Some of them are located in the United States, so your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries.
5. Cookies
The Site itself does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies on its checkout pages for security and fraud prevention, as described in Stripe's own privacy policy. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
6. How long we keep data
We keep order records for as long as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally up to seven years). Email list records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you and then deleted. Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email factcraftpress@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some records may need to be kept for legal reasons. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use reputable providers and secure connections (HTTPS) and limit access to personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Children
The Site and the E-book are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
